The exciting shape of the Venera earring exudes delicacy at first glance, and the selected materials and craftsmanship empower her "curves" with an even greater meaning
Venus' production technique is hand-hooked Idrija lace - a centuries-old Slovenian cultural heritage, which, with the subtle interweaving of thousands of threads, is brought closer to contemporary urban Venus, which retains its authentic, antique and "green" character.
The Venus silk lace earrings are made from hand-spun silk thread joined from 115 raw cocoons.
CITY SILK, the light silky jewelry, is united with the mother nature’s excellence and mystic thoroughness.
The collection is developing as a project of scientifical research on continual sericulture (silk farming) in collaboration with the ISS institute and Rebeka Lucijana Bercic, with the emphasis on innovative city sericulture. It is designed from faw cocoons, that were carefully grown in the E2RD Gallery in June 2022, and from a silk thread, which was derived from the same cocoons.
