Art project – visual exhibition TroSI by painter Mitja Ficko, sculptor Primož Pugelj and designer Bojana Kovačič Zemljič – reinterprets communicational and transit spaces of cultural institution – Slovene National Theatre Maribor in a way which surprises its visitors with a display of visual art in a place ruled by theatre art. Visual works – big sized paintings and sculptures – that are placed in lobbies and halls, connects an installation by a designer whose name this exhibition carries. That is TroSI.
Visual exhibition, in cooperation with Slovene National Theatre Maribor, was prepared by E2RD gallery and was opened on the day of premiere of ballet performance Leva desna, leva desna choreographed by Gaj Žmavc, Edward Clug and Alexander Ekman. It is the first time for Slovene National Theatre Maribor to host a visual exhibition. This shows openness and connectedness toward other art forms, which Igor Teršar, MA, from Ministry of Culture emphasised in his speech. Not only the openness in connecting different art forms, but also readiness for cooperation between state institution and a private citizen.
